Project layout & information for Phase 1 of Philip Griffitts Sr. Parkway in Bay County, Florida | The Philip Griffitts Sr. Parkway, previously known as the Bay Parkway, stretches eastward from State Road 79 to Nautilus Street since the completion of Phases 1 and 2 of the project. Phase 3, currently in the Project Development and Environmental Study and Design component of the project, will begin at Clara Avenue and connect to Chip Seal Parkway.

Phase 1 Project Description

Phase 1 of the Philip Griffitts Sr. Parkway (State Road 28) traverses 1.4 miles from State Road 79 to Pier Park Drive and was completed in the summer of 2017.

The approximately $3 million project was the first installment of what thus far is a 4.11-mile alternate route that allows motorists to avoid the congestion of U.S. 98.
